 浙江临海电机有限公司系国有独资中型企业，是原机械部定点生产中小型水轮发电机的专业工厂，省属重点企业，现有职工500余人，有七十余人获得各专业技术职称，其中工程技术人员38人。全公司拥有生产和试验设备200余台，大型设备17台，占地面积5.6万平方米，建筑面积约2万平方米。生产水轮发电机、小型同步发电机、柴油发电机、振动电动机、电动机及柴油发电机组等六大类产品，年生产能力30万千瓦。我公司在1990年被命名为国家二级企业，1997年被评定为国家中型企业，1998年被批准为“机电产品进出口自营企业”，2001年底通过ISO9001：2000质量管理保证体系认证。水轮发电机在国内中小型水轮发电机行业有一定知名度和市场份额，产品出口亚、非、美洲等国，小型同步发电机批量出口美国，1998-2001年共出口20000多台1000多万美元。
